As with the standard multi-sample needle, one end of the needle is inserted into the patient’s vein, the other end, covered by a rubber cuff, is used to puncture the rubber tube stopper. The cuff keeps the system airtight during tube change. A multi-sample needle maintains a closed blood collection system, where blood enters the tube without being exposed to the external environment.

The main advantage of using a Multi-sample needle with visual control (flashback) is the visible blood flow. This type of needle has a modified needle camera that has been enlarged to 1,5 cm.

All needles are silicone-treated, sterile, and intended for a single-use.
