Wings of the blood collection set (also called “Butterfly needle”) provide added grip and help perform successful venipuncture.

Due to tube flexibility, the needle doesn’t move around during the procedure, minimizing the risk of mechanical damage to the vessel wall.

Butterfly needle sizes correspond to the regular needle sizes and are colour coded. Each butterfly needle is silicone-treated, sterile, comes in an individual sterile pack, and is intended for a single-use.

The protective mechanism guarantees one-time use and prevents the risk of injection by personnel.
